More Fat Tire Night action:

Ed speaks to the crowd at the Fat Tire Night at the Raven.  Everyone in the room can call Ed a friend and it was great to get a chance to help him out.

The action was a huge success.  Donated items from businesses across town help bump up the dollar count.  John Farmer was the high bidder on the top prize, a Doom vest handmade and donated by Steve Fasbinder, the single speed world champion.  Good job, John.

                                            Event Report:

We packed the house at The Raven Cafe to celebrate the launch of the mountain bike season and to pass the hat to help repair Ed Furbush's knee.  Ed is our own local mountain bike hero and the town showed up in force to help him get back on his bike.

JZ models the new 10th Anniversary Southwest Sounds and Cyclery shirts.  These are limited production and sold out in 30 minutes.  A small run are available at Ed's Shop on Montezuma.  Get your shirt before the sell out!

The post party ride on Sunday, March 8th was a great ride.  Toby lead the charge with almost 20 other riders in tow.  A few new faces turned up.  Ed was there to see us off.  It won't be long before Ed is out there turning the cranks with us!!!!!

                                 EVENT REPORT
                                                APRIL, 5th

Holy Crap, was that a blast!  On the fun-o-meter that registers as a perfect 10.  What we hoped might be an annual event just might need to happen twice a year to accommodate the demand for more such fun.

This ride started with a shuttle to the top of Spruce Mountain.  After the appropriate lubricants had been consumed, we pointed it downhill for a couple hours back into town via Schoolhouse Gulch road.  The finish line was Coyote Joes bar.  How can any of this not be good?

Let's let the photos speak for themselves:

A classic Schwin Crate and Debutante rippin' it up Prescott style!  That's an original Schwinn Debutante by the way.

Klunkity business on the trailer prior to the shuttle up to the towers on Spruce Mountain.

Toby, 2nd placer at the '08 Whisky in the SS category, shows off his new race rig complete with pink fork and a horn.  Nice.

Wigs, beers, knee socks and bloomers.  Crazy.  You won't want to miss the next Klunker Kruise coming this fall.  Keep in touch as there's a limit on participants.

"oh, sweet baby......let's do this thing.   You know you like it."

Bottle cages on bikes are nothing new.  Crush can holders, now that's pretty cool.
