TRAIL NEWS  - UPDATE - OCTOBER 25

White Spar Campground Trails are now open!

Just a couple months ago, the big news was the new 396 trail.  If you haven't ridden that beautiful  section of trail, you need to.  Over the last few weeks, 396 has not only become extremely popular with the mountain bike community, the trail just gets better with every ride.

Now there are even more trails in the area behind White Spar Campground.  There has always been a network of trails back there, but thanks to the Prescott National Forest, Rob Hehlen and the Over The Hill Gang volunteer group, those trails are now official and officially sweet.  There's still more trail to come in that area.  If you'd like to help with the construction of those trails, send us an email and we'll connect you with a crew.

Early morning rides near White Spar Campground are well....pretty.  That isn't very Red Bull or aggro mountain biker, but there's nothing wrong with a pretty ride, is there?

What the heck is that?  Could it be....wild flowers?  And this was supposed to be a desert.

396 has beautiful sweeping turns, mild climbs and fluid downhills.  This isn't technical riding, but few trails in the area have the flow of 396.

The pond on 396 makes for an ideal stop-spot.  The constant trickle of water in the pond is pretty zen....right before you begin the steepest part of the climb.

                 Who built these trails???

The trails in the White Spar Campground area, including 396, were constructed in large part by the Over the Hill Gang.  This group of retired guys have dedicated thousands of man-hours to creating these amazing trails.  They do it for zero money and unfortunately with little help or thanks from the riding community.  If you'd like to spend a few hours with the Over the Hill Gang on their next Thursday of work, let us know and we'll make sure to get you connected with this amazing group of volunteers.
