SNOW    RAIN     MUCK

It's only temporary, but winter-ish conditions have arrived.  A week of snow and rain have made most trails a little goopy.  Avoid the trails above Granit Basin.  You DO NOT want to play in that mud.   Areas with even a couple inches of snow on the ground are likely still muddy.  Even if you don't damage the trails, you're definately going to get gross dirty.  Give it a week and we'll be back to normal.

GRANITE BASIN

Granite Basin is in pretty normal condition at the moment.  This is a great area to hit if mid day sun is still a little cool.

349 - Is in pretty awesome right now.  Only a few soft turns.  This trail always gets a lot of use and sometimes shows the damage from that usage.  So far, so good.

352, 345, 347 - Beautiful.  Get it while the gettin' is good.

THUMB BUTTE

Thumb Butte is in pretty good condition.  This is a great place to ride in the fall.  The trail right now is a little dry and dusty, but in great shape.

Bear Claw (Honey Bucket) - To those that know this trail, please go ride it.  Recently a few of our friendly trail elves went out and did a bunch of work to this local secret.  Go enjoy it!
If you go ride Bear Claw....don't be a bone head and drag your wheels all over the place.  Flow, Grasshopper....flow.  This trail is easily damaged.

393 and 392.  Nice and solid.

*** TRAIL CLOSURE ***  For those that know of the service roads parallel to the rail road bed off 332, those roads are no mas.  They have been plowed under.  Access to Granite is now exclusive to the RR bed.

SCHOOLHOUSE GULCH

This area is beautiful right now.  The fall colors have set in, the hard pack as hard as ever, just awesome.

396 - Excellent.  This trail will only get better.  For hard pack lovers, this might be the new crown jewel.   What a difference a month makes!!  Every week this trail gets better.

FELDMIRE - Update 7-16 - Feldmire received some love from the trail elves this summer.  A few drainage features have been added and many of the rogue rocks are out of the way.  Momentum has returned to Feldmire but it really is hurting for some major re-routing.

Banning Creek Loops - Excellent.   No deadfall remains on this trail.  Not loose or sandy yet.
